gentrification: The Changing Landscape of Jersey City features the voices and works of Jersey City residents: It is a multimedia discourse exploring the virtues and detriments of the gentrification of Jersey City. Recorded interviews with Jersey Cityites are presented alongside of artworks in a variety of media by twelve artists, each inspired by the content of the collected audio.
gentrification: The Changing Landscape of Jersey City presents the experience of gentrification through a subjective lens, illuminating the complexities of this globally prevalent phenomena through a combination of the documentary and the creative.
Participating Artists include Thomas John Carlson, Jerome China, Narciso Espiritu, Daniel Joseph, Nathalie Kalbach, Norman Kirby, Gabriella Perez, Sam Pullin, Sogno Studio, Fabricio Suarez, Sarah Veloso, and Olivia Wilber.
